I have just become a Grandma! 11.26pm on the 31st July 2007 to a baby girl born at home as planned, to my daughter and her husband. I am thrilled that they asked me to witness the birth, it is an experience that was wonderful and I am so thankful that they gave me this opportunity. I am still very young at heart.(my boyfriend calls it child-like). I have given my granddaughter Lucy a Shining Star friend so that they can name a star for her, a Love Puppy Webkinz as an investment and a Webkinz Raccoon to use when she is able. My 9 year old niece Anya introduced me to Webkinz in August 2006. I bought one for myself and since then I haven't looked back, they are truly fantastic, and I am a huge supporter of them. They were first introduced in 2005 in Canada and the USA and now they have an approved distributor in the UK called 'Vivid Imagination'. This company do not sell to the public, but they do sell to to retailers. At the moment they have lauched Webkinz in the UK with 13 different styles and some Lil'Kinz, including the Lil'Kinz Golden Retriever which is the 'Pet of the Month' for January. I think that they are totally inspired and every family should have one! However you should know that although Webkinz and Lil'Kinz have exactly the same use in Webkinz World, the Lil'Kinz appear really quite small on the screen.

What are Webkinz? They are soft toy pets, each one has a unique and secret code that you use to log into Webkinz World, where you adopt your pet, name him or her, build them a home and take care of them. There are so many games to play either alone or with other Webkinz pet owners from all over the world. It is totally safe, educational,and age appropriate, but as well as learning through play, the other advantage is, that it teaches really good life values. Such as caring and sharing.
I have many friends who bought their children a Nintendo DS for Christmas, but their children much prefer playing in Webkinz World because it offers so much more. You really should take a tour of Webkinz World, there is so much safe and friendly fun to have there. If any of my customers have a story to tell me about their Webkinz or what their families enjoy most about them. Please let me know, as I now write articles for a magazine in Dallas about how families in the UK enjoy Webkinz.
